A standard match-night for a referee looks like this:
Before the Match

Arrive 15 minutes before your slot

Check the court is safe

Put the posts up & add the korfball lines using provided tape (the first playing team will be requested to support)

Confirm team colours / bibs

Brief captains, if needed

Whistle on time
During the Match

Officiate according to league rules (simplified, no shot clock)

Maintain fairness and flow

Keep an eye on safety

Manage resets & re-starts

Keep calm, clear and consistent
After the Match

Confirm final score with both teams

Select an MVP from each team

Submit the result through the league form / message

Reset the court quickly for the next match
Total Time Per Slot: 1 hour

Referee Rotations & Scheduling
We make scheduling predictable and fair:

Refs can request specific weeks or regular weekly slots

You do not need to ref every week

Ideally refs need to ref all matches on the evening, however we can be flexible where needed and you can ref some games on the evening, as long as there is an available ref for the other matches
